50mm (5cm) across case without crown.
A handsome gold filled full hunter. The case is a Keystone J Boss 25 year guaranteed (from date of manufacture) each part is made from 2 plates of 14ct gold with a plate of composition between them, vastly superior to electroplating which only deposits a very thin layer of gold. Nicely decorated with a thistle design front and rear with vacant cartouche to front.
The case is clean and bright throughout, all hinges are good, all covers open and close well. Front cover pops open with a depression of the crown, as it should. Super condition case, some small insignificant marks, no signs of wear, slight scratch to dust cover. Front cover opens slightly past 90 degrees, rear covers open to 90 degrees.
The double sunk dial is bright and clean, signed "Waltham". Roman Numerals, blued steel hands. No hairline cracks or chips.
The movement is a Waltham 17 Jewel model 1908 dating to 1912, damascened, gold adjuster star, running well and keeps good time.
Good acrylics crystal in great condition.
Complete with double rolled gold Albert chain and gold plated shield fob with blank cartouche and a small case opener knife to one end of the chain.
Presented in a fitted velvet pocket watch box and velvet pouch for chain.
Great for wedding, graduation, retirement, Christmas, Fathers day or birthday present.
Recently Fully Serviced, including modern alloy "unbreakable" mainspring.
Servicing is defined as the piece being disassembled, cleaned, inspected and adjusted if necessary. It is then re-assembled and correctly oiled, timed for accuracy and adjusted if required. The mainspring will be replaced with a modern alloy type and the piece will be bench-tested for at least one day.
I restore all of my watches to a fully working condition. It is my aim to provide a watch that is not only running but working to a usable state. My watches can be worn and used for their intended purpose on a daily basis. The time keeping should certainly be within +- 5 minutes per 24 hours but I aim for +-3 or better. I do offer guarantees, the details of which can be found on my website for Time Pocket Watches. I have many years experience and a vast catalogue of Waltham spares and parts.
My highly detailed photographs show the watch in detail, this level of detail is not normally seen by the naked eye. The watch will look even better in real life.
