Illinois A Lincoln Grade 21 Jewel open face pocket watch.
A rather nice Illinois open faced pocket watch. The case is a Wadsworth warranted 20 year gold filled. No scratches or significant marks. Screw on front and rear covers.
Very nice, hand engraved, locomotive engraving to rear cover, has a small amount of wear.
Lever set model 6 movement. Attractive damascening with gold set jewels. Micrometer regulator adjustment, 21 Jewels. dates to 1909. Lever set at the 2 O'clock position under front cover (screw front cover off to pull lever out at 2 O'clock, push lever in when done)
The dial is bright and clean with no hairline cracks or chips. Black Arabic numbers, blued steel hands, red outer numbers.
Mineral glass crystal in great condition.
Recently fully serviced and keeping good time.
Presented in a velvet jewellers box.

Servicing is defined as the piece being disassembled, cleaned, inspected and adjusted if necessary. It is then re-assembled and correctly oiled, timed for accuracy and adjusted if required. The mainspring will be replaced and the piece will be bench-tested for at least one day.
I restore all of my watches to a fully working condition. It is my aim to provide a watch that is not only running but working to a usable state. My watches can be worn and used for their intended purpose on a daily basis. The time keeping should certainly be within +- 5 minutes per 24 hours but I aim for +-3 or better.
