Rare and unique six time zone .800 Swiss silver large pocket watch. Fully functional and good time keeping, recently service including alloy mainspring.
The .800 silver case is hallmarked with the Grouse and .800 for Swiss silver. Has German import marks for the German market. Dates to c1900. In fantastic condition, measuring 68mm across the case, 98mm from top of bow to bottom of case, 21mm deep front to back. Hinged front and rear covers. Engine turned pattern to rear with vacant cartouche to center. All hinges are good. No signs of wear, no dents or major scratches, 1 ever so small and insignificant ding to outer edge of the engine turned pattern to rear cover at the 2 Oclock position as you look at it from the rear.
The dial is bright and clean and free of any cracks or chips, no hairline cracks, fine. 58mm across the dial. Six different world time zones with the center, large main hands showing the time for your current location and smaller sub dials showing Paris, Constantinople, Petersburg, London and New York. Sub seconds dial to the bottom.
The finger bridge, lever movement is bright and clean, jewelled, 50mm across, running well and keeping good time, Swiss made. Pin set (press the pin in at the 1 O'clock position on the outer case side to set the time, release when done) and crown wind. New modern "unbreakable" mainspring fitted during a recent full service.

Servicing is defined as the piece being disassembled, cleaned, inspected and adjusted if necessary. It is then re-assembled and correctly oiled, timed for accuracy and adjusted if required. The mainspring will be replaced and the piece will be bench-tested for at least one day.
I restore all of my watches to a fully working condition. It is my aim to provide a watch that is not only running but working to a usable state. My watches can be worn and used for their intended purpose on a daily basis. The time keeping should certainly be within +- 5 minutes per 24 hours but I aim for +-3 or better.
