A truey outstanding and stunning looking piece.

Housed in a rare case by Waltham UK, A.B  (Alfred Bedford - manager of the Waltham Watch Co, Holborn Circus, London ) sterling silver fully hallmarked case, Birmingham 1895 & 1896 (it is not unknown for components to straddle production years of cases). Screw on front and rear some minor dings around edges of the covers (years of users trying to pry off a screw on cover), in really good condition despite this and no real signs of wear.

Mineral glass crystal in perfect condition.

Dial in great condition, no hairline cracks or chips, signed "A.W.W.Co Waltham Mass". Blued steel hands, Roman Numerals.

The 1888 15 jewel movement is in fantastic condition, running well and keeping good time. Screw in jewels, gold center wheel, Damascening. Dates to c1894

Complete with a solid double 925 hallmarked silver Albert chain and silver coloured Memento Mori skull fob (not silver). The long chain runs through a ring with the fob and T bar attached, this gives some movement and adjustability of the chain. The chain can be worn as a single (2 lengths together) or a double (between two pockets via T bar in button hole of waistcoat) This chain is a modern reproduction by Time Pocket Watches. 52 grams total weight.

Presented in a velvet presentation pocket watch box and velvet jewellers pouch.

Great for wedding, graduation, retirement, Christmas, Fathers day or birthday present. Serviced including modern "unbreakable" alloy mainspring.

Serviced.

Servicing is defined as the piece being disassembled, cleaned, inspected and adjusted if necessary. It is then re-assembled and correctly oiled, timed for accuracy and adjusted if required. The mainspring will be replaced and the piece will be bench-tested for at least one day.

Statement.

I restore all of my watches to a fully working condition. It is my aim to provide a watch that is not only running but working to a usable state. My watches can be worn and used for their intended purpose on a daily basis. The time keeping should certainly be within +- 5 minuted per 24 hours but I aim for +-3 or better. I do offer guarantees, the details of which can be found on my website for Time Pocket Watches. I have many years experience and a vast catalogue of Waltham spares and parts.

Photography.

My highly detailed photographs show the watch in detail, this level of detail is not normally seen by the naked eye. The watch will look even better in real life.
