50mm (5cm) across case without crown. 1924. A truly wonderful gold filled full hunter. The case is a Dennison "Special" solid 9ct gold, fully hallmarked Birmingham 1924. Very clean and bright throughout, all hinges are good, all covers open and close well. Front cover pops open with a depression of the crown, as it should. Front and rear covers open to 90 degrees. Extremely good condition case with only very light marks inside the covers, mirror finish to outer covers with only a few EXTREMELY faint marks to the rear cover. The dial is bright and clean with no hairline cracks or chips, signed "Waltham". Roman Numerals, red outer chapter ring numbers, blued steel hands. The movement is a Waltham model 1899 Royal grade, damascened, gold regulator adjuster star and center wheel, screw in jewels and 17 jewelled, running well and keeps good time. Good MINERAL glass crystal in good condition, has a blemish where a sticker has been and reacted with the glass.
Presented in a new, luxury, velvet fitted pocket watch box in royal blue.
Great for wedding, graduation, retirement, Christmas, Fathers day or birthday present. A very nice piece. Recently Fully Serviced, including modern alloy "unbreakable" mainspring.
Servicing is defined as the piece being disassembled, cleaned, inspected and adjusted if necessary. It is then re-assembled and correctly oiled, timed for accuracy and adjusted if required. The mainspring will be replaced with a modern alloy type and the piece will be bench-tested for at least one day.
I restore all of my watches to a fully working condition. It is my aim to provide a watch that is not only running but working to a usable state. My watches can be worn and used for their intended purpose on a daily basis. The time keeping should certainly be within +- 5 minuted per 24 hours but I aim for +-3 or better. I do offer guarantees, the details of which can be found on my website for Time Pocket Watches. I have many years experience and a vast catalogue of Waltham spares and parts.
My highly detailed photographs show the watch in detail, this level of detail is not normally seen by the naked eye. The watch will look even better in real life.
