A fabulous Victorian Waltham 14ct full hunter pocket watch. Dates to c1894 making it 124 years old. In fine condition. 5cm (50mm) across the case. The case being a Dennison 14ct gold filled, guaranteed for 20 years (from date of manufacture) in fine condition, no major scratches or dents only minor dings to rear cover where the bow has contacted. The covers open to 90 degrees, good hinges, no signs of wear anywhere including the bow. Acrylic crystal is new and perfect. Front cover pops open with a depression of the crown (as it should). The dial is bright and clean with no hairline cracks or chips, mint. Roman numerals and signed "A. W. W. Co Waltham Mass". Gold tonel hands. The movement is a Waltham model 1888 dating to 1894. Recently fully serviced and tested, runs very well and keeps good time. Complete with a matching rolled gold Albert chain with antique rolled gold blood stone and carnelian spinner fob. The fob being Victorian to early Edwardian in period. Great for wedding, graduation, retirement, Christmas, Fathers day or birthday present. A very nice piece. Recently Fully Serviced, including modern alloy "unbreakable" mainspring.
Servicing is defined as the piece being disassembled, cleaned, inspected and adjusted if necessary. It is then re-assembled and correctly oiled, timed for accuracy and adjusted if required. The mainspring will be replaced and the piece will be bench-tested for at least one day.
