Victorian Waltham half hunter pocket watch. Fully working and usable as an every day watch.
 
Dates to c1899 making it c124 years old. In great condition.

A handsome 1888 in a scarcely seen for this model half hunter type case. Gold filled, 14ct FAHYS half hunter case. In fantastic condition, no major scratches or dents. The front and rear covers open to 90 degrees, good hinges, some minor signs or wear. Front cover pops open with a depression of the crown, as it should.
 
Mineral glass front and inner crystals.
 
The dial is bright and clean, no hairline cracks or chips. Roman numerals and signed "American Waltham U.S.A.". 
 
Blued steel hands.
 
The movement is a Waltham 11 jewel model 1888 dating to 1899. Recently fully serviced including modern alloy "unbreakable" mainspring. Tested, runs well and keeps good time.
 
With 18k gold plated double trombone link Albert chain with Lapis Lazuli and a black stone spinner fob. The chain is a modern replica.
 
Presented in a pocket watch case.
 
Great for wedding, graduation, retirement, Christmas, Fathers day or birthday present. A very nice piece.

Serviced.
 
Servicing is defined as the piece being disassembled, cleaned, inspected and adjusted if necessary. It is then re-assembled and correctly oiled, timed for accuracy and adjusted if required. The mainspring will be replaced with a modern alloy type and the piece will be bench-tested for at least one day.
 
Statement.
 
I restore all of my watches to a fully working condition. It is my aim to provide a watch that is not only running but working to a usable state. My watches can be worn and used for their intended purpose on a daily basis. The time keeping should certainly be within +- 5 minutes per 24 hours but I aim for +-3 or better.
