50mm (5cm) across case without crown. 1913. A stunning 14k gold filled full hunter. The decorated case is a Philadelphia Watch Case Co 25 year guaranteed (from date of manufacture) each part is made from 2 plates of gold with a plate of composition between them, as good as you get without being solid gold, vastly superior to electroplating which only deposits a very thin layer of gold. Clean and bright throughout, all covers open and close well. Front cover pops open with a depression of the crown, as it should. Front cover opens slightly past 90 degrees and rear covers open to 90 degrees. Good condition case some light marks commensurate with age and a couple of medium scratches/marks (see pictures), no signs of wear, vacant cartouche to front. The double sunk dial is bright and clean with no visible hairline cracks but one can be seen with a jewellers loupe running across but not through the sub seconds dial area at the lower part of the dial, signed "Waltham". Roman Numerals, gold hands, red numbers around chapter ring. The movement is a Waltham model Equity traveler dating to 1913, running well and keeps good time. All original. Good acrylic crystal in good condition. Complete with a vintage looking rolled gold Albert chain. Great for wedding, graduation, retirement, Christmas, Fathers day or birthday present. A nice piece.
