50mm (5cm) across case without crown. 1919. A stunning gold filled half hunter. The case is a Dennison MOON 20 year guaranteed (from date of manufacture) each part is made from 2 plates of 14ct gold with a plate of composition between them, vastly superior to electroplating which only deposits a very thin layer of gold. Very clean and bright throughout, all hinges are good, all covers open and close well. Front cover pops open with a depression of the crown, as it should. Front cover opens some way past 90 degrees but the hinge is good, rear covers open to 90 degrees. Very good condition case with only light marks commensurate with age and a couple of minor dings to the rear cover, no signs of wear and no major scratches. The double sunk dial is bright and clean with no hairline cracks or chips, signed "Waltham USA". Roman Numerals, gold coloured hands. The movement is a Waltham model 1908 P. S. Bartlett, dating to 1919, damascened, gold regulator adjuster star, screw in jewels and 17 jewelled, running well and keeps good time. Good acrylic crystals, both in great condition. Complete with a new (but made to look vintage) matching rolled gold double Albert chain with antique Amber glass spinner fob. The fob being later Victorian to early Edwardian in period. Great for wedding, graduation, retirement, Christmas, Fathers day or birthday present. A very nice piece. Recently Fully Serviced, including modern alloy "unbreakable" mainspring.
Servicing is defined as the piece being disassembled, cleaned, inspected and adjusted if necessary. It is then re-assembled and correctly oiled, timed for accuracy and adjusted if required. The mainspring will be replaced and the piece will be bench-tested for at least one day.
