Something special this piece, if you are looking for a Sterling silver pocket watch and chain, look no further.
50mm (5cm) across case without crown. 1910. A truly stunning Sterling silver full hunter. The case is a Crescent Watch Case Co, heavy, sturdy solid sterling silver. Very clean and bright throughout, all hinges are good, all covers open and close well. Front cover pops open with a depression of the crown, as it should. Front cover opens past 90 degrees and rear covers open to 90 degrees. Very good condition case with only light marks commensurate with age and a few of minor dings to the front cover that can only be seen from inside the lid. Beautifully decorated with engravings and engine turned pattern, vacant cartouche to front, coin edged, no signs of wear and no major scratches. The double sunk dial is bright and clean with no visible hairline cracks or chips but has a faint minor hairline at outer edge at III to IIII that is difficult to see but is there. Signed "Waltham", Roman Numerals, blued steel hands. The movement is a Waltham model 1908 dating to 1910, damascened, star regulator adjuster, gold center wheel, screw in jewels and 17 jewelled, running well and keeps good time. Good mineral glass crystal in great condition. Complete with a vintage looking matching heavy gauge solid silver 925 hallmarked Albert chain with an antique Victorian stone set spinner fob, hallmarked Birmingham 1900. Great for wedding, graduation, retirement, Christmas, Fathers day or birthday present. A very nice piece. Recently Fully Serviced, including modern alloy "unbreakable" mainspring. Comes with a velvet pouch for watch and one for the chain, plus a silver cleaning cloth each.
Servicing is defined as the piece being disassembled, cleaned, inspected and adjusted if necessary. It is then re-assembled and correctly oiled, timed for accuracy and adjusted if required. The mainspring will be replaced and the piece will be bench-tested for at least one day.
