5.9cm (59mm) across the case. The case is Silverode and made by the Philadelphia Watch Case Co USA. In great condition, some slight marks commensurate with age, no major dings, dents or scratches, no major signs of wear. Covers screw on and off well. Nicely decorated with locomotive engraving to rear. No personalised inscriptions or monograms.
 
Mineral glass crystal in very good condition.
 
The double sunk dial is bright and clean, has some minor hairline cracks to chapter ring, no chips. Black Arabic numerals, red outer numerals, 24 hour inner numbers, blued steel hands.
 
Model 1892 Vanguard 21 jewel movement, beautifully damascened, gold micrometer adjuster regulator, gold mounted jewels, gold screws, gold lettering, dated to 1906. Lever set at 2 O'clock at edge of dial (pull lever out to set the time, push back when done). Crown wind.
 
Fully serviced including modern alloy  mainspring. Keeping good time.

Servicing is defined as the piece being disassembled, cleaned, inspected and adjusted if necessary. It is then re-assembled and correctly oiled, timed for accuracy and adjusted if required. The mainspring will be replaced and the piece will be bench-tested for at least one day.

I restore all of my watches to a fully working condition. It is my aim to provide a watch that is not only running but working to a usable state. My watches can be worn and used for their intended purpose on a daily basis. The time keeping should certainly be within +- 5 minutes per 24 hours but I aim for +-3 or better.
