50mm (5cm) across case without crown. 1913. A nice, fully functional gold filled full hunter. The case is an Illinois 10 year guaranteed (from date of manufacture) each part is made from 2 plates of gold with a plate of composition between them, vastly superior to electroplating which only deposits a very thin layer of gold. All hinges are good, all covers open and close well. Front cover pops open with a depression of the crown, as it should. Front and rear covers open to 90 degrees. Good condition case light marks commensurate with age, a small scuff to rear cover, no major scratches to outer covers, some minor blemishes and minor scratches inside the case covers. The dial is bright and clean with minor hairline cracks at 4 0'clock position, no chips, signed "Waltham USA". Roman Numerals, gold hands. The movement is a Waltham model 1908, dating to 1913, running well and keeps good time. Good acrylic crystal in great condition.
Complete with a vintage rolled gold Albert chain, heavy gauge 7mm curb links.
Great for wedding, graduation, retirement, Christmas, Fathers day or birthday present. A very nice piece. Recently Fully Serviced, including modern alloy "unbreakable" mainspring.
As with all of my watches, they are restored to fully working order and are suitable for every day use. Time keeping should be no more than +- 2 minutes over 24 hours, often better. Accuracy of vintage and antique time pieces cannot be guaranteed beyond that.
Servicing is defined as the piece being disassembled, cleaned, inspected and adjusted if necessary. It is then re-assembled and correctly oiled, timed for accuracy and adjusted if required. The mainspring will be replaced and the piece will be bench-tested for at least one day.
