Near mint. 5cm (50mm) across the case. Waltham 17 Jewel 1913. Screw on front and rear covers, base metal case made by Keystone. Extra fine condition light surface scratches commensurate with age. Dial in great condition, no cracks or chips, signed "Waltham USA", mint. Blued steel hands, Arabic numbers. The 1908 movement is in fantastic condition, gilt screws, details and letering, running well and keeping very good time, some marks on the balance cock let the condition down, else mint. Low production run of 2000, 4500 ever produced making this a scarce item. Acrylic crystal in good condition, Lever set at 1 O'clock under front cover.

I would recommend this only to a collector or someone experienced with watches due to the time setting being a lever found under the front cover, this needs a little extra care when altering the time.  Serviced including modern "unbreakable" alloy mainspring.

Servicing is defined as the piece being disassembled, cleaned, inspected and adjusted if necessary. It is then re-assembled and correctly oiled, timed for accuracy and adjusted if required. The mainspring will be replaced with a modern alloy type and the piece will be bench-tested for at least one day.

I restore all of my watches to a fully working condition. It is my aim to provide a watch that is not only running but working to a usable state. My watches can be worn and used for their intended purpose on a daily basis. The time keeping should certainly be within +- 5 minuted per 24 hours but I aim for +-3 or better. I do offer guarantees, the details of which can be found on my website for Time Pocket Watches. I have many years experience and a vast catalogue of Waltham spares and parts.

My highly detailed photographs show the watch in detail, this level of detail is not normally seen by the naked eye. The watch will look even better in real life.

Waltham 17 Jewel Open Face Pocket Watch. Collectors piece, low production run.
