A handsome sterling silver half hunter case and in good condition. The signed JWB (J.W. Benson) case has no major scratches or dents, it does have some minor marks and very light scratches. It is fully hallmarked for London 1907. The front and rear covers open to 90 degrees, good hinges, no signs wear. Front cover pops open with a depression of the crown, as it should. Repaired black enamel inlayed Roman Numerals around front window.
Mineral glass inner crystal and the front porthole is acrylic.
The dial is bright and clean, no hairline cracks or chips. Roman numerals.

The movement is a Swiss made full plate 15 Jewel. Signed J.W. Benson, 62 & 64 LUDGATE HILL LONDON SWISS MADE BY WARRANT TO H.M. THE LATE QUEEN VICTORIA. Recently fully serviced including modern alloy "unbreakable" mainspring. Tested, runs well and keeps good time.
This is a stem wind and lever set movement, the lever being at the IIII (4 O'clock) position pertruding from the bezel under the front cover.
Presented in a luxury and strong metal framed pocket watch case. The case is padded faux leather and fitted with dense velvet covered foam, recessed to accommodate the watch and a chain.
Great for wedding, graduation, retirement, Christmas, Fathers day or birthday present. A very nice piece.

Serviced.
Servicing is defined as the piece being disassembled, cleaned, inspected and adjusted if necessary. It is then re-assembled and correctly oiled, timed for accuracy and adjusted if required. The mainspring will be replaced with a modern alloy type and the piece will be bench-tested for at least one day.
Statement.
I restore all of my watches to a fully working condition. It is my aim to provide a watch that is not only running but working to a usable state. My watches can be worn and used for their intended purpose on a daily basis. The time keeping should certainly be within +- 5 minutes per 24 hours but I aim for +-3 or better.
