Antique Victorian Waltham full hunter pocket watch. Dates to c1894 making it c131 years old.
Size 16s. 5cm (50mm) across the case.
A very handsome model 1888 in a gold filled Dennison case. 14k gold filled, guaranteed to wear 20 years (from date of manufacture). In good condition, no bad scratches, no bad dents or dings, does show some signs of wear. No personalised engravings or monograms. The front and rear covers open a little past 90 degrees, good hinges. Front cover pops open with a depression of the crown, as it should. Very good for a 131 year old watch.
Crown set and wind, pull the crown out to set the time.
The dial is bright and clean, no hairline cracks or chips. Roman numerals and signed "American Waltham USA".
Blued steel hands.
Mineral glass crystals to front and inner, perfect.
The movement is a Waltham grade 20 model 1888 dating to c1894. Has a small scratch to the gear train plate. 13 jewels. Recently fully serviced including modern alloy mainspring. Tested, runs well and keeps good time.
Complete with an 18k gold plated curb link double Albert chain with red onyx and Bloodstone stone set spinner. Features a brass penknife case opener to CAREFULLY assist with opening the rear covers.
Presented in a high quality, luxury fitted pocket watch box with recess for the chain.

Serviced.
Servicing is defined as the piece being disassembled, cleaned, inspected and adjusted if necessary. It is then re-assembled and correctly oiled, timed for accuracy and adjusted if required. The mainspring will be replaced with a modern alloy type and the piece will be bench-tested for at least one day.
Statement.
I restore all of my watches to a fully working condition. It is my aim to provide a watch that is not only running but working to a usable state. My watches can be worn and used for their intended purpose on a daily basis. The time keeping should certainly be within +- 5 minutes per 24 hours but I aim for +-3 or better.
