Model 1888 Riverside, 15 jewels.
 
A very handsome 1888 in a gold filled Orient case, 5 year guaranteed (from date of manufacture). In good condition, no bad scratches,  sno dings or dents, has been recently re-plated in 18ct. No personalised engravings or monograms. The front and rear covers open to 90 degrees, good hinges. Front cover pops open with a depression of the crown, as it should.
 
Outstanding for a 129 year old watch.
 
Crown set and wind, pull the crown out to set the time.
 
The dial is bright and clean, no hairline cracks or chips. Roman numerals and signed  "American Waltham Watch Co".

Mineral glass crystal in perfect condition.
 
The movement is a Waltham model 1888 Riverside 15 jewels dating to 1895. Screw set jewels, gold center wheel, micro adjuster regulator. Recently fully serviced including modern alloy  mainspring. Tested, runs well and keeps good time.
 
With double 18k gold plated trombone link Albert chain with bloodstone spinner fob and a small brass case opener knife attached to one end. The chain, spinner and knife are all modern reproductions.
 
Presented in a luxury wooden pocket watch fitted case with recess for the chain.
 
Great for wedding, graduation, retirement, Christmas, Fathers day or birthday present. A very nice piece.
 
 
Serviced.
 
Servicing is defined as the piece being disassembled, cleaned, inspected and adjusted if necessary. It is then re-assembled and correctly oiled, timed for accuracy and adjusted if required. The mainspring will be replaced with a modern alloy type and the piece will be bench-tested for at least one day.
 
Statement.
 
I restore all of my watches to a fully working condition. It is my aim to provide a watch that is not only running but working to a usable state. My watches can be worn and used for their intended purpose on a daily basis. The time keeping should certainly be within +- 5 minutes per 24 hours but I aim for +-3 or better.
