A nice sterling silver pocket watch by Elgin and in good condition. The Elgin Watch Case Co case has no major scratches or signs of wear, hallmarked  Birmingham 1928.  Pop off front cover and snap shut rear covers. Coin edged, engine turned pattern, blank cartouche, no personal inscriptions.
 
Mineral glass crystal is perfect.
 
The dial is bright and clean, has a faint hairline just under 3 to sub seconds dial. Arabic numerals. Blued steel hands.
 
The movement is an Elgin 17 Jewel model 7 and damascened. Recently fully serviced including modern alloy "unbreakable" mainspring. Tested, runs well and keeps good time.
 
Presented in a luxury and strong metal framed pocket watch case. The case is padded faux leather and fitted with dense velvet covered foam, recessed to accommodate the watch and a chain.
 
Great for wedding, graduation, retirement, Christmas, Fathers day or birthday present. A very nice piece.

Servicing is defined as the piece being disassembled, cleaned, inspected and adjusted if necessary. It is then re-assembled and correctly oiled, timed for accuracy and adjusted if required. The mainspring will be replaced with a modern alloy type and the piece will be bench-tested for at least one day.
 
Statement.
 
I restore all of my watches to a fully working condition. It is my aim to provide a watch that is not only running but working to a usable state. My watches can be worn and used for their intended purpose on a daily basis. The time keeping should certainly be within +- 5 minutes per 24 hours but I aim for +-3 or better.
