A very nice gold filled full hunter. The case is a Dennison STAR 10 year guaranteed (from date of manufacture) each part is made from 2 plates of gold with a plate of composition between them, vastly superior to electroplating which only deposits a very thin layer of gold. Nice case although not original to the movement, it is the correct type and model originally used for Waltham.
The case is clean and bright throughout, all hinges are good, all covers open and close well. Front cover pops open with a depression of the crown, as it should. Very good condition case, no dings dents or scratches, no signs of wear. Front and rear covers open to 90 degrees.
The dial is bright and clean, has a very faint and very short hairline near the outer edge betweenXI and XII, signed "Waltham USA". Roman Numerals, blued steel hands.
The movement is a Waltham 17 Jewel model 1908, damascened, gold adjuster star, gold balance screws, running well and keeps good time.
Perfectly usable as an everyday watch.

Servicing is defined as the piece being disassembled, cleaned, inspected and adjusted if necessary. It is then re-assembled and correctly oiled, timed for accuracy and adjusted if required. The mainspring will be replaced with a modern alloy type and the piece will be bench-tested for at least one day.
Statement.
I restore all of my watches to a fully working condition. It is my aim to provide a watch that is not only running but working to a usable state. My watches can be worn and used for their intended purpose on a daily basis. The time keeping should certainly be within +- 5 minutes per 24 hours but I aim for +-3 or better.
