Fantastic condition case, crisp is a good word to describe it. The case being a Dennison SUN 25 year guaranteed (from date of manufacture) each part is made from 2 plates of 14ct gold with a plate of composition between them, vastly superior to electroplating which only deposits a very thin layer of gold. The SUN model was Dennisons top of the range gold filled model, this is as good as it gets without being solid gold. It has the advantage of being stiffer than solid gold and therefore, more robust.
The case is clean and bright throughout, all hinges are good, all covers open and close well. Front cover pops open with a depression of the crown, as it should. Extremely good condition case, only very small insignificant marks and they are mainly to the inside of the dust cover, no signs of wear. Front and rear covers open to 90 degrees.
The double sunk dial is bright and clean, no cracks, signed "Waltham". Roman Numerals, blued steel hands.
The movement is the prized Waltham Riverside Maximus 23 Jewel model 1899 , beautifully, damascened, gold drive train gears, diamond end stones to balance and escape wheel, micro adjuster regulator, gold jewel collars, gold balance screws, running well and keeps good time.

Servicing is defined as the piece being disassembled, cleaned, inspected and adjusted if necessary. It is then re-assembled and correctly oiled, timed for accuracy and adjusted if required. The mainspring will be replaced with a modern alloy type and the piece will be bench-tested for at least one day.
Statement.
I restore all of my watches to a fully working condition. It is my aim to provide a watch that is not only running but working to a usable state. My watches can be worn and used for their intended purpose on a daily basis. The time keeping should certainly be within +- 5 minutes per 24 hours but I aim for +-3 or better.
